The opportunity: Business Development Lead Generator
Location: Ideally London but could be anywhere!
Reporting to: Group Business Development Director
A leading design firm in the architecture sector is seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven Business Development Lead Generator. This role is perfect for individuals from diverse backgrounds who have a passion for generating new business and thrive in a dynamic environment.
Overview
The Business Development Lead Generator will play a vital role in sourcing, qualifying, and directing potential project leads across various sectors in the UK. This position provides essential support to the Sector Leads and Regional Sales Teams in building a robust pipeline of opportunities, aligning with the company's growth and profit targets as outlined in their future plans.
Key Responsibilities:
Messaging Mastery: Develop a deep understanding of the company’s service lines and culture to ensure accurate and consistent messaging during potential client interactions.
Lead Generation: Identify and qualify leads through a variety of channels, including online research, social media, and collaboration with sector and regional sales teams.
Market Insight: Conduct comprehensive market research to provide vital updates, identify target clients, and highlight key market trends.
Pipeline Development: Manage and expand a lead pipeline that aligns with the company’s growth objectives, ensuring a consistent flow of business development opportunities.
Outreach & Engagement: Initiate contact with potential clients through email and social media to raise awareness of the organization's services and unique value proposition.
Proposal Participation: Collaborate in preparing compelling proposals and presentations as needed.
Marketing Collaboration: Assist the marketing and sector teams in creating targeted marketing campaigns and messaging.
CRM Management: Maintain up-to-date records in the CRM system, tracking lead statuses and client interactions for effective follow-up.
Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues in business development and marketing to refine outreach strategies and enhance lead conversion.
Reporting: Provide regular updates on lead generation activities, including success rates and market insights, to inform business development strategies.
Ideal Profile
Education: A degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
Experience: 1-3 years of experience in lead generation, sales, or business development, preferably within the architecture or construction.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills that foster effective engagement with sector and regional sales teams.
Research Skills: Strong analytical abilities to identify and target specific business opportunities.
Tech Proficiency: Familiarity with CRM systems and lead generation tools, alongside experience with professional social media platforms like LinkedIn.
Organisational Skills: Highly organised and detail-oriented, with the capacity to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Self-Motivated: A proactive individual who can work independently while aligning with team goals.
Industry Knowledge (Preferred): An understanding of the architecture or construction industries and project lifecycles within the UK’s private and public sectors.
Location: Hopefully London and be happy to commute to the office. There are other offices in the UK if you fit the above but live somewhere else.
