About role

My client is a dynamic, award-winning interior design studio based in East London. The studio specializes in creating stunning, functional, and innovative spaces for a diverse range of clients, from residential to commercial projects.

The Role

The Head of Interior Design will lead the studio’s creative team and oversee all aspects of its interior design projects. They will be responsible for setting the design vision, managing projects, and ensuring the highest standards of design excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement the studio’s design strategy, aligning it with the company’s brand and business goals.
• Project Management: Oversee all stages of interior design projects, from initial concept to final installation, including space planning, material selection, and construction management.
• Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a talented team of interior designers, inspiring creativity and fostering a collaborative work environment.
• Client Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and delivering exceptional design solutions.
• Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, actively seeking out potential clients and partnerships.
• Financial Management: Manage project budgets, ensuring profitability and cost-effectiveness.
• Industry Awareness: Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, materials, and technologies.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure the highest quality standards in all aspects of the studio’s work, from design to delivery.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Head of Interior Design or a similar senior role within a design studio.
• A strong portfolio demonstrating exceptional design skills and a keen eye for detail.
• A deep understanding of interior design principles, materials, and construction techniques.
• Excellent project management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
• A passion for design and a commitment to delivering innovative and client-focused solutions.
• A proactive and entrepreneurial mindset, with a drive to grow the business.
