Job Description

I am currently assisting a busy, medium sized practice in their search for a technically capable Architect/Senior Technician. This is to work in an office based in a desirable part of London with great transport links. It's a permanent position with a salary up to £50,000.

As you may have guessed this position rely's on someone who has a very strong technical understanding and background. Most of the current projects are post planning and on site so whilst this is not a pure site based role, experience in this area would be a huge benefit. You'll absolutely need to be able to demonstrate strong experience with detailing packages and construction drawings. Generally someone focused on the delivery stages in recent years would be preferable. You'll need to be adept at communicating with clients and contractors on sire as there will be elements of client facing to this role. 

For a practice on the small-medium sized end of the spectrum they punch above their weight in terms of size of projects and prestige. The work is large scale residential, medium-high rise buildings as well as developments. Large scale mixed use experience would also suit. 

Most of the work is London based so ideally you should have experience of working on large scale schemes in the capital. 

AutoCAD is the main software in use for this role but the company also use Revit so experience with both Revit and AutoCAD would be preferable. Initially you'll be working on an AutoCAD project so the emphasis and weight will be out on your AutoCAD ability.
