Job Description

Who doesn't love an all-round Architect position!? I've got just the role if this is your thing. I'm assisting an International practice in their search for an Architect to work within their London office, based in the heart of town. This is a permanent position with a salary circa £45,000 depending on experience.

You'll need at least 2 years PQE to be considered for this position. As mentioned above you'll have the opportunity to work across all RIBA stages and as a result you'll need to demonstrate both your design and technical prowess in your portfolio. Specifically you'll be working on the concept design and schematic design of some residential schemes and you'll also need to show strong detailing experience. Due to the nature of thew work you'll need a grasp of the UK building regulations as well as local codes and regulations. The company are developing their current and future work load through a sustainable lense so an interest in sustainable building technologies would be ideal. This may not be the most client facing position however at times you will be liaising with clients so you're ability communicate with such individuals is a must. The ability to communicate between various teams and offices will also be needed.

The work is largely residential, you'll be working on a number of large scale residential schemes, some are developments, some are high-rise so a strong background within the residential sector would be hugely advantageous.

Revit is the main software in use and it is vital you have fluency with this software. A Revit test will part of the interviewing process so it's important you have the ability to work well with Revit and the ability to complete a Knowledge Smart Test.

Although this is to work for a company that work in UK and have a strong international presence you will exclusively be working on some of the UK/London projects.

With a secure workload for the foreseeable future it's a great chance to build you're career with a busy and growing practice. Interviews are taking place in the next 2 weeks with a start date in mind for Mid-February/ASAP. Should you wish to discuss further please get in touch now!
