ARE YOU A SENIOR INTERIOR DESIGNER IN THE RESIDENTIAL AND COMMERCIAL SECTOR LOOKING FOR A NEW AND EXCITING ROLE?

Our client is based in Cheshire specialise in commercial and high-end residential interior design and is looking for a new team member to join the team. From the initial concept stage to completion, the team specialises in 3D visuals, bespoke cabinetry & furniture, Architect liaison, project coordination, and so on.

The current team of 6 (4 Interior Designers, the Managing Director, and the Administrator) is looking for another Senior Designer to join the team following another team member's departure to another role. 

This role is studio-based, 5 days per week, between the hours of 9 am to 5 pm.

 

REQUIREMENTS of the role:

IT IS ESSENTIAL THAT ALL APPLICANTS HAVE AN IN-DEPTH KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING OF FABRICS AND SUPPLIERS.

  • Interior Design BA(Hons) Degree (minimum).
  • A minimum of 3 years experience in similar sectors of design.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD.
  • Proficient in SketchUp.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suites.
  • Proven experience in managing projects from concept to completion.
  • Confidence, knowledge, and proven experience in quantifying for Upholstery and Windows treatments. Including regulations for Fire rating.
  • Experience and confidence in liaison with onsite trades.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills.

ROLES AND FURTHER REQUIREMENTS of the role:

  • Managing projects from concept to completion.
  • Design and specification in soft furnishings and fabrics.
  • Devising beautiful designs for luxury residential projects which will encompass furniture, joinery, textiles, soft furnishings, flooring, and lighting.
  • Lead presentations and meetings with clients to develop and progress design work.
  • Work with a team, delegate tasks to junior staff, and management reports.
  • Attend site meetings and liaison with other consultants and contractors to move projects through to completion.
  • Willingness to travel within the UK for site meetings.

  • All work-based travel expenses are reimbursed at the government rates.
