Job Description

A Nationwide Workplace Design & Build Studio are looking to hire a Senior Interior Designer into their established Birmingham studio. This is an initial 12 Month Maternity Cover Fixed Term Contract

This role would give you the opportunity to work on some of the most sort after commercial office space projects across the UK. 

As a Senior Interior Designer you will be responsible for fully understanding and developing a client's brief, with the aim of delivering best in class designers that go beyond their expectations! 

You will be comfortable and enthusiastic about working directly with the client, offering them all of your knowledge to ensure they are informed about their project, you will collaborate with all stakeholders to identify potential risks and accommodate changes required, however you will always do your best to ensure the design remains within budget and is to the original brief. 

You will need to be fluent in AutoCAD or REVIT, SketchUp and Adobe Creative Suite. 

The team in Birmingham is a lovely size, with support on hand from a larger London studio, however you will be expected to manage your own time and taking ownership of achieving personal and team objectives will be key.

Finally, this role is Birmingham based, so you will need to be able to commute into the city on a near daily basis, this role does offer Hybrid working but would not suit someone needing to commute hundreds of miles as days in/out of the studio will vary and you may be required to adjust plans at short notice to accommodate client/design work - If you have been around the D&B world you will know how this works.
