ARE YOU A SENIOR LEVEL INTERIOR DESIGNER LOOKING FOR A NEW OPPORTUNITY?
My client specialising in high end residential interiors are looking to recruit a Senior Interior Designer into the team. This studio have a prestigious portfolio of international turnkey projects predominantly luxury residential, but also luxury marine, aviation, and hospitality projects.
Reporting to the Design Director and working alongside 3 other designers, as a Senior Interior Designer you would need to be able to demonstrate a clear passion for design. Due to the smaller size of the team, your willingness for collaboration and being a team player will be essential. You will be speaking with clients, suppliers, and other important contacts, so experience in building and maintaining rapport with these contacts will be essential.
This role is based in the studio Monday to Friday between 9am until 5pm. As this is a Senior level role, the studio can offer 2 days WFH and a minimum 3 days working in the studio.
As a prospective candidate for this role, you will NEED:
- Proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Proficiency in SketchUp.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suites and Microsoft Office Suites.
- High skill in hand sketching.
- Around 8+ years experience in a relevant position/ industry prior.
- Proven track record of managing project costs and budget awareness.
- Excellent supplier knowledge, including FF&E and finishes.
- High standard of technical knowledge (technical drawings, space planning, etc).
As a Senior Interior Designer, you will be RESPONSIBLE for:
- The day-to-day delivery of client projects, including overseeing the design & day-to-day running of the projects (autonomously or part of a team).
- Preparing concepts, mood boards, preliminary and final design presentations.
- Excellent time management skills - preparation ahead of internal and external review deadlines.
- Leading client meetings across multiple projects.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
- Producing technical drawings and tender packages in AutoCAD as required across multiple projects.
- Managing the selection, budgeting, scheduling, and procurement of FF&E.
- Liaison with suppliers, subcontractors, and the on-site team to ensure smooth delivery of projects.
- Ensuring an understanding of design deliverables.
