Senior Interior Designer - Hospitality & Residential
About the Studio
A dynamic interior design studio located in West London seeks a talented and motivated Senior Interior Designer to join its growing team. The studio specializes in crafting inspiring and functional spaces for both hospitality and residential clients, emphasizing thoughtful design, high-quality materials, and meticulous attention to detail.
The Role
This role offers the opportunity to play a key part in all aspects of the design process, from initial client meetings to project completion. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with senior designers, architects, and contractors to bring client visions to life.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate on developing and presenting creative design concepts for hospitality and residential projects.
- Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand their needs, style preferences, and budget.
- Research and source furniture, fixtures, equipment (FF&E), materials, and finishes.
- Utilize design software (e.g., AutoCAD) to create detailed construction documents, including space plans, elevations, and joinery details.
- Manage project budgets and ensure adherence to established timelines.
- Coordinate seamlessly with contractors and suppliers to execute the design intent.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and address any concerns.
- Assist in preparing client presentations and proposals.
- Stay abreast of current design trends, materials, and technologies.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 6 years of experience working in a reputable interior design firm is required.
- The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully completing hospitality and/or residential projects.
- A strong understanding of space planning, furniture layouts, and construction documents is essential.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills are a must.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team is highly valued.
- Proficiency in design software (AutoCAD) and design presentation tools (e.g., Photoshop, InDesign) is required.
- A keen eye for detail and a passion for creating beautiful and functional spaces are essential.
- Knowledge of building codes and regulations is desirable.
