Job Description

Our London based design agency specialising in charity work is seeking a midweight copywriter on a permanent basis. Our ideal candidate will possess multi-skilled portfolio, which shows a passion for creativity and knowledge of fundraising technique across print and digital. Previous experience in writing effective fundraising copy and at least two or more years of creative agency experience is a MUST. This is a fantastic opportunity for you to join an award-winning agency, working with a number of the UK's largest charities.

Skills:

• A strong multi-skilled portfolio, which shows both a passion for creativity and a knowledge of fundraising technique across print and digital.
• The ability to work collaboratively with a permanent art director partner to deliver exciting and emotive creative ideas across everything from big brand campaigns to web banners, DRTV and print.
• Experience writing effective fundraising copy (including for direct mail)
• A passion for great causes and fundraising

Nice to have

• Experience in finance/asset management

Main areas of responsibility:

• Interpretation of agency and client briefs
• Take ownership of creative briefs and answer them to a high standard
• Developing creative ideas that are forward-thinking and innovative
• Originating and producing high-quality concepts and copy in answer to agency and client briefs that meet agency and client expectations
• Collaborating with art directors, creative directors and (where appropriate) additional creative resource to produce creative product that meets agency and client expectations and enhances the creative reputation of the agency
• Working constructively with account handling, planning, traffic, production and studio where necessary
• Manage multiple projects, with the ability to switch from one to the other seamlessly
• Checking and approving your own work at all stages from initial concepts to finished artwork
• Working efficiently within the traffic system and workflow process to meet deadlines and stay within budget constraints
• Presenting work for new business opportunities and existing clients, and fostering client relationships
• Actively pursue continuous learning, development and research on the topics relevant to your focus area, the agency and the clients we serve.
• Complete timesheets

Start Date: June
Location: London
Salary: £45,000/pa
Hybrid (1-2 days in the office per week)
