Looking to join a small, but very busy Architects practice in the Leicester area?

Due to a Senior Technologist in the team, relocating out of the country, they need to try and find a similar calibre person that possesses the Technical knowledge and in depth Technical knowledge to help with all of their House-builder projects. 

 As a Senior Architectural Technologist/Technician, you will front several projects and assist their design team in producing planning, working drawings & details, for several volume Housebuilders.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• Proficient in using AutoCAD Architecture 2025 & MS Office 365
• Ability to produce planning & working drawings accurately & quickly
• Knowledge of current Building Regulations is essential, and a good understanding of Volume House building and working across Developer led schemes will be paramount. 
• Future Homes Standards would be an advantage
• You will need to have a sound understanding of M4(2), M4(3), and NDSS requirements
• Evidence that you have worked on several schemes, working on both house and apartment working drawings
• Be aware of Part B and how it affects apartment blocks when preparing drawings

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Senior Architectural Technologist/Technician, your responsibilities will include:

• Amends to Group standard house-type working drawings and producing fully detailed bespoke apartment blocks;
• Preparing Site Technical layouts, based on inherited planning drawings and in turn conveyance plans for the developer’s legal team;
• A sound knowledge of how a house/apartment block is put together is essential and you will need to provide any bespoke detailing to ensure everything has been thought out, so no delays occur on-site;
• Assist our more junior members with their professional development, guiding them using the experience you have gained;
• They act as lead consultants, so you will be expected to liaise with external consultants and clients to bring together a fully coordinated scheme.

THE PERSON

The ideal candidate for this position must possess the following attributes:

• Uses own initiative with a hunger to progress within the company;
• An organised and methodical approach to your work;
• A confident and enthusiastic manner;
• Good IT proficiency especially AutoCAD Architecture 2025, and MS Office 365;

 Salary on offer will range up to £50,000 PA, and can expect a degree of home working on offer.
