Role Overview:

The studio is seeking a talented and driven Mid-Weight Interior Designer to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong design sensibility, excellent technical skills, and a proven track record of delivering high-quality residential projects. The individual will play a key role in all phases of the design process, from concept development and space planning to detailed design and project management. Proficiency in Vectorworks is essential.

Responsibilities:

• Design Development:
  • Develop and present creative design concepts, mood boards, and material palettes.
  • Produce detailed space planning layouts, elevations, and 3D visualizations using Vectorworks.
  • Source and specify furniture, fixtures, equipment (FF&E), and finishes.
  • Create bespoke joinery and furniture designs.
• Technical Skills:
  • Produce accurate and detailed technical drawings using Vectorworks.
  • Develop construction documentation packages, including schedules and specifications.
  • Ensure compliance with building regulations and industry standards.
• Project Management:
  • Assist in managing project timelines and budgets.
  • Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and other consultants.
  • Conduct site visits and monitor project progress.
  • Manage procurement of FF&E.
• Client Communication:
  • Present design concepts and proposals to clients.
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with clients throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Help to foster strong client relationships.
• Team Collaboration:
  • Work collaboratively with senior designers and other team members.
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive studio environment.
  • Mentor junior designers when required.

Skills and Experience:

• • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Interior Design or a related field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in luxury residential interior design.
  • Expert proficiency in Vectorworks is essential.
  • Strong understanding of construction detailing and building regulations.
  • Excellent knowledge of FF&E sourcing and procurement.
  • Exceptional design and presentation skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
