Job Description
I am currently assisting with a London based practice in their search for a Chartered Architectural Technologist or Qualified Technical Architect. This is a permanent role with a salary of circa £45,000 dependant on experience.
With this role, they are looking for someone with a few years of experience post CIAT or ARB qualification to come in and lead the technical design stages of projects, from initial sketches through to technical documentation and construction packages. You will be involved in projects from detail design through to construction, working across the stages of RIBA and supporting the Director and Senior Architects. They are looking for a skilled designer, with excellent communication and presentation ability and experience in managing projects in the technical stages RIBA stages (4-6).
The projects involved are multi-unit residential and commercial developments, from refurbishments through to new build projects. Therefore experience in leading small scale projects is advantageous, with emphasis on previous residential experience.
The software of choice for this practice is Revit, and therefore proficiency using Revit is essential. Experience and knowledge of other design software is advantageous, but the emphasis will fall upon your Revit ability.
