Freelance Senior FF&E Designer

Location: Notting Hill, West London
Contract: 3 months (with potential to extend)
Hours: 5 days per week (or 4 days per week option)

About the Company:

This company is a renowned luxury residential design studio based in the heart of Notting Hill. They specialize in creating stunning and bespoke residential interiors.

The Role:

The Senior FF&E Designer will play a pivotal role in bringing the company's clients' design visions to life. They will be responsible for sourcing, specifying, and managing the procurement of furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E) for high-end residential projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Developing FF&E concepts in collaboration with the design team, aligning them with the overall design scheme.
• Sourcing high-quality FF&E products from luxury brands and bespoke suppliers.
• Creating detailed specifications, including materials, finishes, and dimensions.
• Managing the procurement process, including placing orders, tracking shipments, and coordinating with suppliers and installers.
• Developing detailed FF&E schedules using EstiMac and Excel.
• Preparing accurate cost estimates and budgets.
• Communicating effectively with clients to understand their preferences and address any questions or concerns.
• Conducting site visits to oversee installations and resolve any issues.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Proven experience in FF&E design for high-end residential projects
• Strong understanding of luxury brands and suppliers
• Proficiency in using design software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, EstiMac, Excel)
• Excellent knowledge of FF&E procurement and project management processes
• Advanced skills in scheduling and costing using EstiMac and Excel
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A keen eye for detail and a passion for design
• A proactive and organized approach to work
