Job Description

I'm on the hunt for a skilled and experienced Project Architect to join a dynamic large scale London based Architectural practice. This is a permanent opportunity for a salary in the range of £45-50,000 pa depending on experience.

You will work on a range of high-value commercial projects, with some residential elements, ranging from £100 million to £300 million in value. This position is to work for across all RIBA stages however it lends itself to those of you focusing primarily on delivering projects through RIBA Stages 4-5.

The projects often involve historical elements, requiring a sensitivity to heritage, while maintaining a focus on sustainability.

Experience in carbon counting and sustainability is highly advantageous.

The practice in question work with Revit so it's important you're capable to work with this software independently. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the delivery of 6-7 high-value projects, managing architectural design, construction detailing, and project execution through RIBA Stages 4-5.
  • Manage a small team of 1-2 people, providing leadership, mentoring, and support.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes, maintaining quality and budget expectations.
  • Balance commercial and residential project requirements, integrating sustainability strategies and historical preservation where necessary.

Key Requirements:

  • Experience across all RIBA stages is preferred, with a strong focus on Stages 4-5.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage small teams (1-2 people).
  • Proven experience in commercial sector projects, with some residential exposure.
  • Strong understanding of sustainable design principles, including carbon counting.
  • Ability to manage projects with historical elements.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Revit fluency.
  • Ability to commute to Central London studio, with 1 day per week working from home after 3 months, and 2 weeks of remote working per year (in addition to holiday allowance).
