Job Description
I just taken on an interesting opportunity for those Infrastructure/rail specialists out there! This is an ideal role for a Senior Architect/Associate with a specialism in UK based rail schemes. This is to work on a permanent basis for London based, busy medium sized practice with a healthy salary in the range of £60,000 - £70,000.
This is a senior level position and you'll need at least 10 years PQE to be considered. You'll need a proven track record of leading and managing teams and projects in recent years. Whilst this can be seen as a managerial role you will also be required to have a hands on approach where with your more typical day to day responsibilities as a Senior Architect.
A technical background is favoured although you'll be working across most RIBA stages. Most of the initial work is within RIBA stages 4-6 so a solid understand of this area is a must. The ability communicate with clients and contractors on site is also a large aspect of this position, alongside problem solving on site. The ability to coordinate between various internal teams will also be required.
The company have worked on a multitude of high profile infrastructure schemes in the UK and you should have a portfolio to reflect such work. Any previous experience of working on HS2, Crossrail or similar would be you ahead of the pack. Most of the work is UK based so you'll need a good understanding of UK building regulations and standards.
The weapon of choice is Microstation as well as AecoSIM. AecoSIM would be bit of a bonus whereas Microstation fluency is a must. Experience of producing specifications using NBS is also needed.
This is a strategic hire after a strong 12 months from the practice. Even though this is a senior level position there is a clear path top progress as the company expand in the next calendar year. Interviews are looking to take place in 2 weeks so please don't delay and get in touch now!
