Job Description
An exciting landscape and urban design firm are looking to add a Visualisation Technician to their Landscape and Visuals Impact Assessment (LVIA) team, in either Peterborough or Oxford. This is a full-time, permanent position, with hybrid working offered on a case by case basis. The salary for this role is DOE and available by request.
The client in questions is a fully employee-owned practice, championing belief in their people, values and culture. Their work includes some of the most exciting projects in the UK, from new build developments, to transport infrastructure, to renewable energy. They consider themselves a real jack of all trades. In connection with this, they require and produce excellent visualisation that can stand up to rigorous appeals processes.
Candidates will need to possess excellent 3D modelling skills, largely oriented within 3DS Max, as well as the ability to prepare and produce visuals for various types of development, such as site-verified mass modelling and photorealistic renders of completed concepts. Candidates will also need good skills in document production via the Adobe Creative Suite or a similar package. Collaboration is the lifeblood of the studio, so good communication skills are an absolute must for success in this role, with the ability to interact and transmit ideas across all levels and multiple disciplines.
Applicants experienced in use of AutoCAD, Rihno, Sketchup and ArcGIS Pro are looked upon favourably, but these are not essential skills for success. Equally, a background in landscape architecture or urban design is not at all required, but could be beneficial for the right candidate.
