Location:                                Studio based with hybrid working options and travel to meet clients

Salary:                                    £35,000pa

Our Leicester based client is a global, award-winning, multi channel design agency with offices in both the UK and Netherlands. 

They commit wholly to the brands that they represent, as well as the lives of their audiences. They design and build commercial spaces, retail stores, integrated multi channel campaigns, events, restaurants and premium/luxury point of sale for Global brands.

 

They now have an exciting opportunity for a talented and driven Senior Account Manager. Is that you?

 

Role Overview

Ideally you will have at least 3 years agency experience, managing and growing the relationships with a leading brand / retailer. A love of retail is a distinct advantage; however, you must have the appetite to be on the pulse with market / sector knowledge and latest news. You will be a personable, strong team player, able to manage and secure resources internally and build a productive positive relationship with your clients, consistently surpassing their expectations. Your strategic eye will ensure that you reach (and hopefully surpass!) your commercial targets aligned to the agreed business plan.

 

Principal Accountabilities

  • Strategically plan, manage, and develop the relationship with your client (Existing or New Business).
  • Achieve pre-determined sales targets and profit margins.
  • Ensure sales order pipeline is managed to ensure effective use of internal resources.
  • In depth understanding of all client projects from brief to delivery.
  • Manage fast turnaround projects to quality, time, and budget from brief through to delivery.
  • Work closely with the design function to ensure creative proposals meet client briefs and budget.
  • Ensure client and project deadlines are met and project timings are on track for delivery.
  • Produce work programmes and schedules
  • Record costs and manage variations to projects with internal resource, external parties, and clients 
  • Be the market / sector expert.
  • Attend weekly client meetings, in the pursuit of effective relationship building.
  • Complete / support all associated administrative work, as required, including timely invoicing.
  • Prepare project estimates/quotations and manage project costs with client budgets via submission of cost letters/BOQs
  • Report regularly on sales performance, forecasts, and new business opportunities.
  • Present creative work, costs, and time planning to both existing and prospective clients (including pitch work).

  • Relevant retail, category and/or client experience.
  • High computer literacy, with a solid grasp of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Effective organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a cross-functional team.
  • An understanding of manufacturing processes related to our core business to enable you to advise the client on material and production options.
  • An understanding of production and implementation lead-times to build project programmes as well as budget costing.

 

Qualifications

You will need to have a qualification and/or degree in one of the following disciplines:

  • Advertising
  • Marketing
  • Communication & Media Studies
  • Business or Management Studies
  • Design
  • Project Management (e.g. Prince2)

 

Experience

  • 3+ years client servicing/Account management /Project management experience.
  • Leadership and cross-functional team management and co-ordination.
  • A proven track record in profitable growth, sales performance and relationship building.
