mustardVIZ is exclusively partnered with an independent creative studio, based in Camden, who are looking to bring on a Senior Maya Generalist to start the process of building a new CG team. The studio is mostly well known for producing an international award-winning animated series, and are truly dedicated to serving the needs of young children in all that they do.
The studio are currently looking to bring in an experienced Maya generalist to initially deal with workflows hands on, whilst nurturing another junior staff member. Further down the line, with team expansion, you'll be looking to manage around 2/3 other artists, taking a slight step back from the hands on design side into a more strategic management role.
The current workflow of the studio is partnered alongside a production house, who produce the show in full. The way that the show has been produced means that you'll need to understand Maya 2014 & 2016, along with excellent knowledge of Mental Ray, Photoshop and After Effects. The key areas in for this role lie within the ability to be hands on creatively, whilst also having an excellent technical knowledge, as there are some instances in which experience on the technical side is imperative (e.g. file corruption, missing animations etc).
In return, you'll receive a generous holiday allowance, flexible working options in the long run, and the ability to be part of a team with steeped in values and diversity.
