This opportunity is with an agency deeply immersed in the realm of Events, specializing in the production and delivery of large-scale Events, Conferences, and Experiences on a national and international scale. Situated in a prime central location in London, the role offers an attractive benefits package, including the flexibility of one day per week in the office and the remainder remote.

My client is in search of a dynamic and seasoned Head of Marketing Manager to spearhead their marketing initiatives and propel the success of them as a brand.

As the Head of Marketing, your responsibilities will encompass overseeing all facets of the marketing department, formulating strategic plans, and ensuring a consistent brand message across diverse channels.

This leadership position demands a skilled marketing strategist with a proven track record, robust leadership capabilities, and the knack for inspiring and cultivating a high-performing team. 

Responsibilities will include

  1. Department Oversight:

    • Oversee all areas of the marketing department.
    • Provide support and development opportunities to the marketing team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
    • Advise on work priorities, budgets, and resources.
  2. Strategic Planning:


    • Design branding, positioning, and pricing strategies.
    • Develop and implement strategic plans to establish and enhance our brand presence.
    • Set short-term and long-term goals for the department.
  4. Brand Management:


    • Ensure a strong and consistent brand message across all channels and marketing efforts.
    • Analyze consumer behavior, identify customer personas, and explore opportunities to reach new market segments.
  6. Competitive Analysis:


    • Monitor competition, including acquisitions, pricing changes, and new products/features.
    • Formulate unique insights to understand the customer from a marketing perspective.
  8. Leadership and Development:


    • Provide strong leadership, demonstrating the company’s values and leadership behavior framework.
    • Advise on the development of the corporate brand.
    • Increase team knowledge and share best practices.
  10. Performance Analysis and Reporting:


    • Analyze key marketing performance metrics and use tracking tools to provide market research, forecasts, competitive analyses, and consumer trends.
    • Formulate actionable insights for the marketing team.
  12. Revenue Opportunities:


    • Identify new revenue opportunities and provide actionable plans to the marketing and sales teams.
    • Drive interest and sales through effective marketing strategies, product concepts, and promotional programs.
  14. Compliance:


    • Ensure compliance with current marketing and copyright regulations, professional standards, policies, procedures, and legislation.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Preferred but not essential - Bachelor’s degree in marketing or a Business Management related subject.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a marketing role.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a management role.


  • Work experience as Head of Marketing or VP Marketing, preferably within the events industry.
  • Experience running successful marketing campaigns.
  • Solid knowledge of web analytics and CRM software.
  • Leadership skills with the ability to set and prioritize goals.
  • Analytical mind with excellent analytical and data reasoning abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Positive and approachable manner.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong copywriting abilities.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Strategic thinking abilities.
