BIM Coordinator 

A key player in the Industrial / Logistics sector are currently looking to recruit for their Leicester Studio and are seeking a passionate and talented BIM Coordinator to support architectural project teams in the use of BIM tools and workflows, specifically Autodesk Revit

You will be joining a dynamic BIM Team, currently made up of a BIM Manager, BIM Library Manager & Trainer and existing BIM Coordinator. This is a growing area of work that the practice is eager to expand and for which you will help in the process.

The role will work on models in various sectors that the practice is involved with and requires someone who is happy to be consistently involved with both internal and external stakeholders in multiple projects.

Must have:

  • Minimum of three years use of Revit and Navisworks on live construction projects
  • Must have a thorough understanding of current BIM Standards

Production Skills

  • Setup of a model (Navis & Revit)
  • Production of single discipline model, coordinated models & 3D model elements
  • Production of 2D annotation & drawing title blocks
  • Production of model outputs
  • Populating non-geometric information/data
  • Preparation of COBie information & Production of a COBie deliverable
  • Upload & Download information to & from a CDE


Management Skills

  • Model Compliance checking with project standards
  • Review and approve information/models for sharing
  • Review of a single discipline & multi discipline model content/quality
  • Review of single discipline & multi discipline model coordination
  • Represent company at BIM meetings (Internal and External)
  • Assist with Project team training
  • Assist with Defining technology requirements (hardware/software)
  • Assist with Investigating and implement new technologies and processes
  • Administration of a CDE

Interpersonal Skills

  • Good oral & written communication skills
  • Proficient document and report writing
  • Flexible
  • Initiative and proactive working methodology

Salary on offer will be up to circa £44,000 - £48,000 PA, dependent on individual ability and experience.

Currently flexibility on offer is a weekly rotation of 3 days in the office / 2 days at home for all of their staff. Happy to look at individual circumstances, to potentially accommodate a more flexible arraignment but the preference would you being local to their office and ideally happy to go in at least 3 days a week for design team meetings and reporting duties.
